How It Works
-
1. LET'S GO!
Assemble your team (or fly solo) and make your way to the start location in your booklet. All you need is your Ghastly Guide and a pen or pencil.
-
2. NAVIGATE THE CITY
Follow the directions given in the booklet to make your way through the city. Maps are also provided if needed.
-
3. SOLVE THE CRIME
Each booklet includes a crime you must solve. At each location, answer the multi-choice question.
-
4. FIND THE EVIDENCE
The answer to each question can be found on monuments, statues, signs or landmarks at each location.
-
5. MISSING EVIDENCE
If the monument, statue, or plaque is obscured due to repairs or construction, don’t worry! A photo of each is on the webpage listed on the first page of the booklet.
-
6. IDENTIFY THE SUSPECT
Each correct answer will give you coordinates (a letter and a number). In this example the coordinates next to the correct question are B2.
-
7. ELIMINATE SUSPECTS
Find the suspects at the corresponding coordinates in the suspects grid on the back of the booklet and cross them off. In this example Thomas Greville is at coordinates B2 and so we can cross him off.
-
8. DISCOVER
Along the way read REAL pieces of ghastly history, stories of haunted locations, folklore and details of long-forgotten crimes. If completing a guide with friends why not elect a "storyteller" to read these out loud to the group. Extra points for dramatic recitations!
-
9. FINISH
When you are left with only one suspect, insert their name in the blank space on the back page and read the conclusion. CONGRATULATIONS! You've cracked the case. Until next time...
