🍻 1. The Scotia Bar – Spirits in Glasgow’s Oldest Pub?
Established in 1792, The Scotia is Glasgow’s oldest pub — and according to many, its most haunted. Regulars and staff have witnessed disembodied voices, moving glasses, and cold gusts with no source. The ghost of a lady in a green dress is said to traverse the length of the bar, she is said to be a barmaid from many years ago who seems reluctant to leave her old position. Another spirit is that of a little boy, who is sometimes seen playing near the entrance to the pub. He is thought of be the son of one of the previous owners.

🍺 2. The Saracen Head (Sarry Heid) – Tales from the Gallows
Known locally as the Sarry Heid, this pub dates back to the 18th century and is steeped in Glasgow folklore. Located near former execution sites, the building is said to be haunted by the ghost of Angus Ross, the former owner. The pub also has a human skull on display which they claim to have belonged to the last witch to be executed in Scotland.
🍻 3. The Auctioneers – Spirits in the City Centre
Another contender for the title of 'Most Haunted Pub in Glasgow'. The pub has even appeared on the TV show Most Haunted. Drinkers at the pub have reported their glasses sliding across the table in front of them and staff say that items are shuffled off the edge of shelves to come crashing to the ground.
🍸 4. The Vic Bar, Tron Theatre – A Stage for the Supernatural
Located inside the Tron Theatre, The Vic Bar is more than just a spot to get a drink during intermission — it’s also part of one of Glasgow’s most haunted buildings. The theatre stands on the site of a 16th-century church. Staff and visitors have reported phantom footsteps, doors opening on their own, and sightings of a hooded figure.
